We arrived at camp around 2 oclock and was immediately taken back. As you drive down to the main enterance you see nothing but water as the background for the camp overlooks the bay. The kids and leaders were greeted at a carnival style setting. Lots of laughs and good times. When we went to get our luggage and cabin assignments were were told to leave it as the staff is there to serve us and they will deliver it to our cabins.

The cabins are spacious and comfortably air conditioned with two showers and toilets per side…but we have a whole cabin for the twelve girls.

The kids had free time until after the leaders meeting at 5. They went on the zip line, canoeing, kayaking, rode on a giant swing, rock climbed and swam in the pool. Every time I saw any of the kids they were grinnig from ear to ear. I just walked around and took it all in…feeling God’s awesome presence.

At the leaders meeting we were again reminded of the staff being here to serve us, and the basics of the week…which I won’t give away for the parents back home who want to know what there kids are doing. Going to make you wait, just like the kids have to.

Dinner was served family style with our individual host who kept our plates full…except mine of course. We had lasagna, salad & breadsticks, with ice cream pie for dessert. Yummy!

After dinner we were directed to the gym for a boys vs. girls challenge. They dropped thousands of bouncy balls from the sky for the kids to pick up and whoever had the most won. Pleased to report the girls won!

Next we were off to club (which is a huge circular room, air conditioned with large stairs for sitting). We danced, we sang, we laughed about the skits, and we learned from the speaker about his friend Jesus! It was awesome.

Then the kids went on an obsticle course, got wet and dirty! And laughed…lots! This was followed up with some free time, and a surprise pizza party at 10:30 p.m. The lights in my cabin didn’t go out until after midnight, and when I left at 7 this morning everyone was still sleeping. They will do a wake up around 8:30 for breakfast and then another great day of adventure!

We’ve been running here, there and everywhere. July was a busy roller hockey month. Ashton’s played awesome this season. His whole team is great…they really gel well together. They finished the season in third place! Next Saturday is playoffs…which should be interesting!

Weight loss is still going strong. I am down 98 pounds…and officially weigh less than my husband! For the first time since we have met! I cannot believe it! I’m loving my new body! Still not liking my tummy, but know that is not going to go away until I get my tummy tuck, so I will live with it…for now.

Can’t believe I am only 12 pounds from my goal…thus the title of my post…the final countdown. This is the hardest part, the last bit. But I’m working hard to get there, that’s for sure!

I went for my sonogram lfst week for my potential ovarian cyst rupturing. Wont know what is up with that until I have a follow up with the Gyn I guess.

Not too much else is going on…just the same old stuff…swimming, getting nice and tan, enjoying summer to the fullest, and loving life! Have a blessed day everyone…
