Rainy days…

Published by Jana under Semi-Daily Jibber

What a rainy day we’ve had today…muchly needed for sure…but wow, it’s been a miserable rainy day. Didn’t get a whole lot done…just took it easy, and slept a lot. I’ve got a horrible migraine/sinus headache that just won’t go away…so hopefully a good night sleep will do me some good.

I’ve got my first pay for blogging assignment today, and not sure that I know if I’m doing this right or not…but it just says I have to have a link to this web site on my blog…so here goes: peptide. I don’t know what they offer…but that’s all my assignment says I have to do.

Hope you all are having a great week…and enjoying your summer.

Ding dong…Mickey’s GONE!

Published by Jana under Semi-Daily Jibber

Woo hoo! Yippee! :applause: Hallelujah! :cool0012: Jumping for joy!!! :loveshower: The mouse has left the building! :relief: I cannot tell you how relieved I feel that he is gone…or as Ashton would sing “Gone like a freight-train, gone like yesterday…Gone like a soldier in the civil war, bang bang…Gone like a ’59 Cadillac…Like all the good things that ain’t never coming back…She’s gone (gone) gone (gone) gone (gone) gone, she’s gone” :yay: Now I can sleep at night! I am so happy!!!!

The kids are enjoying going to summer recreation every day, and Vacation Bible School at night. They are super tired this morning, and I’ll probably let them sleep so they aren’t crabby all day today. Although Ashton just woke up at 8 a.m. and doesn’t want to go back to sleep. So we’ll see. If Faith sleeps it won’t be as bad…she gets crabbier than Ashton, for sure!

Yesterday I went with a friend to a Mary Kay party at the house for the people I babysit. I got my Shannon fix! Oh my goodness, she’s such a cutie pie! She’s 4 weeks today and such a good baby. Adam (the dad) goes back to work August 21st, so I’ll start watching them a few days before my kids go back to school. Faith’s so excited…she came over the house after VBS last night and was glowing because she got to see (and hold) the baby. She can’t wait to be with her more often…and neither can I.

Today, my mom will come over and take them to VBS because I have my weigh in tonight…and then I’ll be home to pick them up afterwards. I hope that I have a successful weigh in. I wish I was being weighed in first thing in the morning…it’s hard when I weigh myself at home in the morning, and there at night, because the weight fluctuates so much…but hopefully I’ll still see a drop in the numbers! We’ll head up to the pool for at least a couple of hours today…I’m actually taking Devin (the oldest boy that I babysit)…so the kids will have fun, for sure! It’s been so hot and muggy around here lately…so relaxing at the pool will be a good thing, for sure!

I wish you all a very happy, cool, blessed day!

Shh…do you hear that?

Published by Jana under Semi-Daily Jibber

QUIETNESS!!!! It’s so nice and quiet at my house today…no kids fighting, no kids bored out their eye-balls, and peace and quiet right now…what a lovely feeling. I can’t believe school has not been out for a month yet and my kids are bored, yikes! :hissyfit: They have more toys than they know what to do with them…they have friends up and down the street to play with, they have computers, video games, television…everything that they could ever wish for, yet they are bored…all the time!

They went to Summer Recreation this morning…had a great time, and then as soon as they got home they went over to my in-laws for a while. And then tonight is Vacation Bible School. I can’t believe I actually got away with not helping out. It’s the first year in forever that I haven’t helped at a VBS, and it feels GOOD! I get to be like all the other mom’s tonight who drop off and go. :dancegirl1: PARTY! LOL

Mickey is STILL her dang nambit! I can’t believe he’s so cleaver…more cleaver than Shawn, that’s for sure. I got brand new traps…so hopefully this will do the trick, hoping and praying!

Oh…this morning when I dropped of the kids at recreation, the people who I babysit during the school year where there…and I got to see the baby, Shannon, who isn’t even a month old yet. She’s a sweetheart…and Michele said she’s a very good baby, very little crying. So I’m really looking forward to having her in the fall. The dad starts back to school at the end of August, a week before our kids do, so I’ll get the three of them then. But I got to hold her and was feeding her…and I said I don’t know if I’m going to want to give her back…she’s so tiny. It seems like so long ago that my kids were that tiny. Faith’s excited to have a baby in the house.

Speaking of babysitting…next week I’m getting the privilege of babysitting my nieces during the week. My sister’s babysitter is going to be out of town, so she asked me if I’d be able to watch them 3 days next week. HECK YEAH! I’d give my left arm to spend more time with Jordyn and Addisyn! So the kids and I will head over there Monday, Thursday & Friday to watch them…and they have a pool, so we can have fun in their pool while we’re there as well.

Shawn’s off taking his test right now…so I’ll have an update on that as soon as I know anything. I’m sure he’ll do great…but it’s that whole “test” process that has him so nervous. I’m going to go make myself some lunch…and enjoy my quietness. Have a blessed day everyone!
