Wanna Wii?

Published by Jana under Semi-Daily Jibber

I cannot believe it…after months and months of looking for a Nintendo Wii, I finally found one! It literally fell in my lap when I wasn’t even looking for one that much. But that’s how I heard they were, just had to be in the right place at the right time.

What happened for us was my mom said they were available at Target & K-mart according to the Sunday paper, so I was at Target…nothing there. Was on the phone holding for too long at K-mart, so thought I’d give Best Buys a call…and much to my surprise they had LOTS of them! I hurried myself down there and then was like “duh…I have no clue what accessories I need…” So I got some help, got some extra controllers, the whole nine yards.

So…when my kids came home they were thrilled! And can’t believe that I can FINALLY say…we gotta Wii!!!!!!!!! Thank you God for guiding me to finally get this for our family. We had some awesome family time yesterday bowling, and playing the Wii. It is so much fun! Yesterday was my first time…so I was a virgin! LOL But it’s fun…and I will be wanting to play this more and more. I love how you get up and get active with it. It’s a great workout some of the games…for sure! Now I have to make my list, as the kids are already, what games everyone wants. I heard there’s a DodgeBall game…that would be AWESOME!

That’s all that’s happening in my world right now…so with that I’ll leave you with a shout out for box cutter. Have a blessed day everyone.

…until we blog again…

Popping In

Published by Jana under Semi-Daily Jibber

Hello world…sorry I have been absent for a few days, just not really in the blogging mood. Just spending some time soul searching, getting closer to God, spending time with my wonderful husband, and running the kids here there and everywhere. Typical daily things, huh?

Shawn worked a 12 hour shift today from 10a-10p and I got up early, fixed him food for the day and started cleaning. The kids were at my mom’s for the night, as we had a date…so I was able to get a lot accomplished in the time that they were gone.

After they came home, we all went to see Nim’s Island. What a GREAT movie! I highly recommend it to anyone that would like to see it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Gerard Butler from Phantom of the Opera and P.S. I Love You was in it. I didn’t know that. He’s like a new favorite of mine! And I was excited about all the previews that are coming up…#1 being Speed Racer! OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I was such a HUGE Speed Racer fan…my sister and I would RACE home from school to watch Speed Racer…”Here he comes…here comes Speed Racer, he’s a demon on wheels…” I can’t wait! And of course Narnia! Lots of good movies coming up in May…once again! Can’t wait!

Well, the kids are into mischief and it’s bed time…go figure! So I best get off of here and get them under control, but of course before I go, just a quick shout out for faucets. Also see that WordPress 2.5.1 is out, guess I’ll be upgrading tomorrow! Have a blessed day everyone.

Testing a New Toy

Published by Jana under Semi-Daily Jibber

So I saw on Mary’s site that she started using Windows Live Writer, so I am always wanting to try out new toys…so I’m trying this one out. I guess the best thing about this is the fun way to insert pictures and make them look snazzy, so here’s my test picture of the kids and me.

I guess this will work well with pictures, but I can’t see where I can add my smilies, or my Cricket Moods, so we’ll have to see what all this does, and if it will be worth it or not. You can also insert tables, maps, tags, videos…so we’ll give it a try and see if it works well or not. Only time will tell, right?

It’s nice cause you can resize it right there on your screen, or you can add the borders, watermarks, what have you without having to pull the picture into PSP and making all the changes.

I was EXTEREMLY disappointed in last nights American Idol. I cannot believe that it was Carly that was let go. I was really hoping for a Carly/David Cook finale! But I was wrong. I thought for sure it was going to be Brooke that was let go. But once again she pulled through and was saved. I’m just hoping that David Cook isn’t next. I really could see any of them winning, but I wanted it to be Carly or David.

As for Big Brother…I so want Ryan to win, not Adam. He’s just a goof with big bulgy eyes, and I don’t trust him…at all! I was hoping that the final two would be Ryan and Sharon…but guess we can’t win them all, huh?

Well…Shawn just got home from work, so I want to see how his day was, so time to sign off…but before I go, just a quick shout out for bedding sets. Have a blessed day everyone!

Adding on…

OK…found a bunch of plug ins for Windows Live Writer, and now I can do more fun stuff…like insert smilies! Dancing

But haven’t figured out how to add my smilies yet. But I will!

Also figured out how to fix the pictures so they are snazzier! Love this one of Shawn! It’s my caller ID for him on my cell phone when he calls me!  He’ll love that I put this picture up on here…NOT! OK off to look for more plug ins for this program…oh and by the way, if you’d like to try it out for yourself, you can download it here. I bet you’ll like it just as much as I do! For sure!
